Screening and critique of “Mourning Forest” in the House of Iranian Artists

The seventh review program of films on the contemporary history of Japanese cinema will be held with the screening of “The Mourning Forest” by Naomi Kavase at the House of Iranian Artists.
Theater News Base: The five hundred and third program and the seventh session of the screening of films on the history of contemporary Japanese cinema will be held with the screening of the film “Mourning Forest” directed by Naomi Kavase, produced in 2007, on Monday, June 30, 1401 at 5:00 PM in Shahnaz Hall of the Iranian Artists’ House.

Kavase is one of the most popular filmmakers at the Cannes Film Festival. In 1997, he won the Golden Camera Award for his first film, Suzako, and in 2007, he won the Grand Jury Prize in the Main Competition for his film Mourning Forest. Kawasse received the 2009 Cannes Golden Carriage Award. His films “Shara” (2003), “Hanzo” (2011), “Hanooz Ab” (2014) and “Tabandeh” (2017) competed in the competition section of the festival, and in 2015, his film “Sweet Bean Puree” directed by him A kind of look was displayed in the section. In 2013, Kavase was one of the judges of the main competition section of the Cannes Film Festival, chaired by Steven Spielberg, and in 2014, he was the judge of the chest, foundation and short film section.
