Screening of Ali Musfa’s film at the Austin, Texas festival

The movie “Absence” directed by Ali Mosfa was screened at the Austin Texas Film Festival.
Charso Press: The 29th Austin Texas Film Festival was held in the United States from October 27 to November 3 (November 5 to 12) and the movie “Absence” directed by Ali Mosfa and produced in Iran, the Czech Republic and Slovakia was shown in its 12th international appearance at this event. Ali Mosfa’s latest work had previously won the second best film award at the Bangalore Film Festival in India and the best screenplay award in the Panorama section of the 10th Barcelona Asian Film Festival.
The story of “Absence” takes place in Iran and the city of Prague. The hero of this film, played by Mosfa herself, goes from Tehran to Prague to get more information about the past of her father “Ruzbeh”, who used to be a communist. During his research, he finds out that his father threw someone out of the window of his apartment. He discovers that this person was his half-brother named Vladimir, and from that moment the image of his father’s heroism that he had created in his mind collapses.
The animated film “Sprayer” by Farnoosh Abedi was also screened at the Austin festival.
