The documentary “Perspective of Abbas Kiarostami” directed by Mehdi Shadizadeh will be shown at the opening of the “Photo 5” international festival.
Charso Press: According to the public relations of the festival, this documentary is supposed to be shown on the 1st of July of this year at the same time as the commemoration of Abbas Kiarostami and the opening of this festival at the Tek Museum of Contemporary Arts.
According to Mehdi Shadizadeh, documentary maker and editor of the “Photo 5” award festival, this documentary was made 8 years ago and is one of the sequences of the movie “Gone with the Wind” in which Shadmehr Rastin, a screenwriter and film critic, talks about Abbas Kiarostami. .
Recalling the way of organizing Kiarostami’s training courses, he said: Abbas Kiarostami held his training classes outdoors and on the ground and always sat at the same level as his students, that this type of training was really different and even after the death of this great director, other countries from This type of training was inspired and has become popular all over the world in the last few years.
He added: In this documentary, Shadmehr Rastin, who was very close to Abbas Kiarostami in the last years of his life, talks about this educational method. Also, because this documentary did not match the atmosphere of the movie “Gone with the Wind”, we separated it. As a result, we decided to show this face of Abbas Kiarostami in commemoration of this director. Because this documentary is completely made in nature, the title of perspective was chosen for it.
