Sculptures of a mysterious civilization were discovered in Spain

Archaeologists have discovered stone sculptures in Spain depicting people from an unknown civilization.
According to the Moj news agency, archaeologists who were exploring in Spain have discovered five stone sculptures that depict the faces of Tartessian civilization from the 8th to the 4th century BC.
Two of the most complete of these historical works depict women adorned with jewels. These details and the skill used to create these sculptures led to the hypothesis that these sculptures may represent the goddesses of the “Tartesian” temple. It is also possible that these women were prominent figures in the “Tartesian” society. It is believed that one of the discovered statues also depicts a warrior.
The people of Tartessos civilization lived in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, and the information we have about them today is only obtained through archaeological discoveries. This civilization disappeared about 2500 years ago. Previously, it was believed that in this civilization, goddesses were depicted in the form of animals or plants, but this new discovery can change the attitude of historians about this civilization.
