According to Tejarat News, the governor of Tehran announced the beginning of the project to seal the unauthorized units of real estate consultants in Tehran.
There are 33,000 real estate trading companies in Tehran province, and 7,000 real estate offices operate without a license. Only in the new city of Pardis, 2,600 real estate consulting firms are operating, many of which are unlicensed.
Field investigations show that the real estate buying and selling market is sluggish and there are not many transactions. This is despite the fact that the period of relocation of tenants will begin in a few days, and as a result, the rental market will flourish. Tehran’s housing market has experienced price fluctuations in three areas; Inflationary expectations, the role of real estate consultants and pricing on internet sites, which real estate brokers also acknowledge and have called for monitoring real estate sales sites.
Although the officials of the Real Estate Consultants Association always exonerate the real estate agents from the accusation of causing inflammation in the housing market, the investigations show that some real estate consultants use at least six tricks to stir up the property price confusion. On the other hand, the applicants for buying apartments are complaining about the announcement of unconventional rates on the websites by real estate consultants and some owners.

Alireza Fakhari, the governor of Tehran, demanded the sealing of the unauthorized units of real estate consultants in the province by the judiciary and with the cooperation of the police force, and ordered the union of real estate consultants and the chamber of trades to be fully active in this field and to include the list and specifications of unauthorized real estate consultants in inspections. The government recently made the registration of housing rental contracts free. In the first stage of setting up the real estate system, landlords and tenants can register their rental contract online without going to the real estate agency by referring to the amlak.mrud.ir system and get a tracking code without paying money.
Due to the low ability of buyers, the housing market has stagnated, but the announcement of unconventional rates has kept buyers away from the market. In the meantime, the role of real estate consultants and some owners in determining unconventional rates has complicated the conditions of the housing market.
