According to Mehr’s reporter, Sedavsima has been seriously buying the rights to broadcast games for several years now. During the World Cup games in Qatar, the right to broadcast the games was bought through an intermediary, and dedicated reporters and reporters were sent to Qatar. About the Asian Nations Cup, some by presenting a picture from the site AFC and that there is no name of our country’s radio station in it, they claimed that the radio station did not buy the right to broadcast the games.
Sedavsima itself, of course, did not clearly and clearly state whether it had purchased the broadcast rights or not, and only a short while ago, it published a letter that it considered Sedavsima to have the exclusive right to broadcast the games and wanted to prevent the broadcast media from broadcasting. The games were live or produced.
In this letter, which had many reflections in the virtual space, it was stated:With respect, considering that the broadcasting rights of AFC events, especially the Asian Cup 2023, within the geographical borders of Iran have been exclusively assigned to the Broadcasting Organization, please prevent the broadcasting of these games (live or produced) in any way. »
The letter that was addressed to the managers of universal audio and video media and was signed and delivered by Hossein Zarei, Director General of Licensing and Media Affairs.
Now, Sedavsima has informed this event in an official and transparent manner.
Sedavsima’s public relations site has published an interview with Majid Bilali, Director General of Supply of Goods and Services of Sedavsima Organization, in which he talked about the purchase of broadcasting rights for the Asian Nations Cup.
Emphasizing that they bought the right to broadcast the Asian Nations Cup games, Bilali said:The Broadcasting Organization has an active reporter in these competitions. If it were otherwise, they would not have allowed our reporter to report there with a camera; Also, we did not have the signal to broadcast the matches. One of the doubts about the purchase of broadcast rights is that the name of the broadcasting organization as the broadcaster of the matches is not registered on the AFC website.
He had a conversation with Jam Jam, an organi newspaper, and explained: “According to some considerations that exist in the international arena, the organizing unit of the competition did not put the name of Iran Broadcasting Organization on their website; But they cooperate with us. This is not a new practice and has been in place for other events in previous years. The contract has been concluded and implemented according to an understanding between the Asian Football Confederation, the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Broadcasting Organization. The Broadcasting Organization has officially purchased the broadcasting rights and paid for it. There is no violation of this contract.”
Also yesterday, the Football Federation issued a notice and stated in it: “Regarding the conclusion of the official tripartite agreement between Sed and Sima, the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Asian Football Confederation and the payment of the rights to broadcast the Asian Nations Cup by Sed and Sima The Islamic Republic of Iran broadcasts all games and reports related to it exclusively in the possession of the national media.»
