Seizure of 15 Iron Age objects in the west of the country in a pharmaceutical warehouse in Zahedan



According to the report of Aria Heritage, quoting the public relations of the General Directorate of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of Sistan and Baluchestan, Reza Kikhah Aria stated today, October 20, 2009: “It was sent and preliminary investigations were carried out.”

The head of the protection unit of the General Directorate of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of Sistan and Baluchestan added: “These studies revealed that these artifacts include 15 items of historical objects related to the Iron Age, dating to 2,000 to 3,000 years ago.”

“According to experts, these artifacts belong to historical sites in the west of the country, which entered Zahedan under the guise of medicine, and were probably the next destination to leave the country through Pakistan,” he said.

“These works became the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the province after the legal process of the Awareness Office for technical inspection,” Kikhah Aria noted.
