Seizure of half a billion euros in Russian property in France

According to Fars News Agency’s International Service, French officials announced that the country had confiscated the assets of 33 Russian nationals, including Roman Abramovich, the former owner of the Chelsea football club.

Western media sources reported on Thursday (today) that the French government imposed new sanctions on Russian citizens following the pressure of Western countries against Russia in connection with the war in Ukraine.

According to the report, the French government has also confiscated the assets of former Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich in its new decision to increase sanctions against Russia. Earlier, in the wake of the Ukraine crisis, the British government had seized Abramovich’s assets.
