No one can criticize the car industry as much as I do
Myerslim continued: I have been in the automotive industry for almost 50 years and no one can criticize this field as much as I do; As if I have done the most criticism in the field of automobile manufacturing, but I disagree with people who deceive the importers. We currently have 14 importer families in the country who have a dealership and import cars; Those are cars that do not benefit the masses at all, but benefit the rich and the wealthy.
A member of the Article 90 Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated that importing a car worth $ 5,000 is impossible: At a price of $ 5,000, we can only import low-quality cars from countries like India. Iran is the only country in the world. The price of a car increases by about 80 to 90% after leaving the factory, because people do not buy a car for need, but look at the car as a capital good.
We have no shortage in car production
Myerslim added: “The increase in car prices is not due to a shortage in production; Last year, we produced about 850,000 cars, which was even more than the country needed. In Tehran, for example, there is 6 times more capacity than a car; But because people’s capital is melting, people are investing their money in cars, and so car prices are rising day by day.
The representative of the people of Tehran in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasizing that in order to analyze the problems of the automotive industry, we must first examine the country’s macro-economy, added: The issue of car manufacturing should also be considered in its place.
In the automotive industry, technical, managerial and financial issues are of great importance, in the meantime, the location of technical issues is easier than the rest. Engineers and workers can solve the technical problems of cars, and if we do not despise them, they can do their job properly.
Domestic cars have embarrassed foreign automakers
