Senior Taliban official: Efforts to form an inclusive government in Afghanistan continue


According to Fars News Agency’s Afghanistan website, Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister of the Provisional Government of the Taliban in Afghanistan, met with officials of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul a few hours ago.

According to Seyed Hassan Mortazavi, Deputy Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, the main focus of the meeting was to follow up on the economic approvals of Mr. Kazemi Qomi’s visit to Afghanistan, which is in its implementation stages and God willing, the two nations of Iran and Afghanistan will see the fruits in the near future. .

The Deputy Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul also stated that the meeting emphasized the continuation of cooperation and humanitarian assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the people of Afghanistan on the eve of winter.

Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi also enumerated some economic problems that have befallen the people of Afghanistan and said: “While the Americans see the economic problems of the people, they still emphasize the continuation of economic pressures on the Afghan people and do not block or release their assets.”

He added: “We have told the Americans that they can cooperate in areas other than military and security, but it seems that they are not happy with the security and independence created in Afghanistan.”

Referring to some progress in governance, Hanafi said: “In more than half of Afghanistan, girls now go to school at all levels of education, and in the near future this issue will be resolved for all provinces.”

Regarding the formation of an inclusive government, the Taliban Deputy Prime Minister also stated that efforts to form a comprehensive and specialized government are ongoing and that news will be published in the near future.
