Seoul: Liberalization of Iranian property depends on Vienna talks! Mehr News Agency Iran and world’s news

At a joint news conference in Washington with his US counterpart Anthony Blinken on Iran’s illegally frozen assets, South Korean Foreign Minister Park Geun-hye was quoted as saying by the US State Department website. Seoul announced that the issue of lifting the seizure of these assets depends on the fate of the Vienna talks!
“In relation to Iran, we want a mutually beneficial relationship, although there are obstacles to the funds being blocked along the way,” the South Korean foreign minister said.
He continued: “Seoul will discuss these obstacles with Iran and also with the United States.” And in terms of the Barjam negotiations, we hope that this issue will be resolved as soon as possible, and if that happens, I think these obstacles will also be removed. Therefore, we need more diplomacy and dialogue with Iran so that we can have a positive outcome from the nuclear talks.
Earlier, US Special Representative for Iran Robert Mali spoke by telephone with the South Korean Deputy Foreign Minister about Iran.
Korean and US officials have repeatedly spoken about Iran’s frozen funds in Seoul, and even during the Vienna talks, representatives from South Korea traveled to Austria to negotiate with the Americans and seek their permission.
South Korea is eyeing the United States for freeing Iranian funds, which, given the recent developments and sabotage by Washington and its European allies, seems to be hindering the progress of the talks and accusing Iran of making unreasonable and out-of-bounds demands. Seoul also has no choice but to follow Washington.
