A Palestinian lawyer says Meqdad al-Qawasimi’s condition worsened on the 91st day of his hunger strike, and doctors transferred him to the intensive care unit.

Nadi al-Assir Center in Palestine says al-Qawasimi is facing the possibility of sudden death, and his outward signs indicate a severe decline in his nervous system that could lead to severe brain damage.

The three detainees are among six Palestinian prisoners who continue to go on an open hunger strike in protest of their administrative detention.

“Ayman Odeh,” an Arab member of the Knesset who had called on the Zionist regime to release Palestinian prisoners since the beginning of the hunger strike, met with an extremist member today at Kabul Hospital in the center of the Occupied Territories, where al-Qawasemi is in critical condition. He came to the hospital, got into a fight and did not allow him to enter the Palestinian prison room.

250 prisoners affiliated with the Islamic Jihad have been on a hunger strike for about seven days in protest of the behavior of Zionist prison guards.
