Signing a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Tourism and the police


According to Moj News Agency, Seyed Ezatullah Zarghami, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, on the sidelines of the fifth national meeting of commanders, deputies, managers and officials of the protection unit bases, told reporters that the ministry had signed a memorandum of understanding with NAJA. He stated: “Today, one of the most important memorandums of understanding was signed under the title of tourism security infrastructure.”

He considered this memorandum important and said: “Many of the problems of the ministry years ago should have been identified, which was resolved with this memorandum.”

Zarghami emphasized: “This memorandum was based on the injuries we faced during the past years after several months of careful work during the past months.”

The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, stating that the government emphasizes on maintaining the health of tourism and cultural heritage, said: “Data exchange and sharing in information systems is one of the provisions of this memorandum.”

He continued: “All matters related to various issues of tourism facilities and services, from inquiries to areas of service offices, are included in this memorandum.”

He said: “We have a lot of work to do in the field of Rahoor police, which has been investigated. We also had problems with border terminals, especially for foreign tourists, which have been investigated.”

Zarghami added: “Another important part of this memorandum is related to Heritage Week, unauthorized excavations, escort of historical objects, burial status, and tracking of historical objects.”
