Signing of comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Riyadh and Beijing


According to Fars News Agency, yesterday (Thursday, December 8), King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and Chinese President Xi Jinping, who visited Riyadh, signed a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the two countries.

According to the official news agency of Saudi Arabia, during an official meeting, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Chinese President discussed the areas of cooperation between the two countries and the efforts of Beijing-Riyadh to strengthen coordination and cooperation in various fields.

The two sides have also signed bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding, which include a plan to coordinate Saudi Arabia’s 2030 development vision with China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Bensalman and Ping also signed two other memorandums of understanding in the field of hydrogen energy and encouraging direct investment.

The President of China started his trip to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday (December 7) and he is going to participate in two meetings with the members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and the member states of the Arab League, with the presence of Arab countries.
