“Silent Snail” was screened online/release of a special version for the deaf

Charso Press: According to the public relations of the project, the online screening of the movie “Silent Snail” directed by Behrang Dezfolyzadeh and produced by Morteza Shaista, will start on Thursday, June 18 of this month.

According to the theme of the film, a special version for the deaf will also be released online.

“Silent Snail” starring Haniye Tousli, Mehran Ahmadi, Pedram Sharifi, Mohsen Kiaei and (child actor) Mojtaba Shokri, was released nationwide in the first half of last year. Sohrab Pakzad has also provided a song to the makers of the film, which has been released in the form of a clip with the images of the film.

The film deals with the problems of the deaf in the context of a romantic narrative and has an emotional and romantic story; The hearing-impaired mother wants her only child to be hearing, but on the other hand, the father, who is completely deaf, is against her cochlear implant and wants his child to remain deaf like himself.

The film “Silent Snail”, which was first unveiled at the 38th Fajr Film Festival and won the nomination of the best director of the first film for Behrang Dezfulizadeh, was screened in various film festivals, including Sao Paulo Mostra Brazil, Chanta India, the 22nd edition He participated in the Pyeongtaek International Film Festival (2022) in South Korea and the 8th Hungarian Disability Film Festival in Budapest, Hungary.

This social drama was also nominated for the Best Drama Film and Best Actress awards at the 13th Universal Festival. This film received the best director, best actress (Hanieh Tusli), best cinematographer (Mohammed Reza Jahanpanah) and best film awards from the 15th San Francisco Iranian Film Festival.
