Snow and rain from tomorrow afternoon in the capital


According to the Moj news agency, according to the Meteorological Organization, this morning (January 19) the minimum temperature in the capital (Mehrabad station) reached -2.2 degrees Celsius and marked the coldest day in the city since the beginning of 1400. This is the first temperature below zero in Tehran and the first frost day of 1400 in this city.

Before this, the last time Tehran experienced frost was on March 14, 2017, when the minimum temperature reached -1.5 degrees Celsius.

According to the General Meteorological Department of Tehran Province, from today until Thursday afternoon (January 19-30), the sky will be clear with increasing weather stability and a temporary increase in air pollutants.

From Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon (January 20 to February 1) with the infiltration of the precipitation system in some parts, especially in the northern parts of the province, rain and snow sometimes with strong winds, especially in the southern and western half of the province and the possibility of lightning in the highlands. Snowfall, blizzard and avalanche are forecast. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid mountaineering and climbing to heights.

From Saturday (February 23) with the establishment of stable weather in busy urban areas, an increase in air pollution is expected.

The sky of Tehran tomorrow (December 20) is partly cloudy, gradually cloudy and local dust with a minimum temperature of 3- and a maximum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius. Temperatures of 7 ° C are forecast.
