Sony has officially unveiled its latest flagship, the Xperia 1 Mark 5 (Xperia 1 V), which uses the Exmor T sensor with much better performance than its predecessor. Sony has claimed that this sensor brings the quality of photography in low-light environments to a new level.

Sony’s new flagship, like all flagships on the market, is equipped with the most powerful and latest parts on the market, although unlike other flagships, it still has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Sony has used a 6.5-inch OLED screen with 4K resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio and 120 Hz refresh rate for this flagship. To improve the display quality of this flagship, Sony has gone to the X1 image engine, which was previously used in the Xperia 1 Mark 4. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is placed on the screen and a 12 megapixel camera is visible on top of it.

On the back panel of Sony Xperia 1 V Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is placed, however, its design style is such that it does not slip. This flagship also supports IP65 and IP68 standards.

Inside the Xperia 1 Mark 5 is a Snapdragon 8 generation 2 chip, which is accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. Unlike other flagships in the market, this device supports a memory card.

The main camera of this device is a 52-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.9 and a size of 1/1.35 inches. This sensor is 70% larger than the original sensor used in the Xperia 1 Mark 4. The pixel size of this sensor is 1.12 µm, but by combining 4 pixels by 1 pixel, it takes 12 megapixel images with a pixel size of 2.24 µm.

According to Sony’s claim, the new sensor used in the Xperia 1 Mark 5 makes the performance of this flagship in low-light environments twice as good as its predecessor. We are also facing the night photography mode in this device.

This Sony flagship is equipped with a 12-megapixel telephoto and 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. In this device, unlike its previous generation, there is no ToF sensor.

Sony Xperia 1 V is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 30W wired charging support. The device is also capable of supporting wireless and reverse wireless charging. Sony’s flagship uses a stereo speaker with a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Sony Xperia 1 Mark 5 is available in black, silver and green colors and costs 1399 euros in the European market.
