Speaker of the Armenian Parliament: Iran has been and will remain a special partner of Yerevan – Mehr News Agency Iran and world’s news

According to the report of Mehr News Agency, quoted by Armenian Press, Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan met and discussed with Abbas Badakhshan Zahouri, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, whose term of office has ended.

According to the announcement of this media, the press service of the Armenian Parliament announced in this regard that the Speaker of the Parliament of this country appreciated and thanked the efforts of the Iranian ambassador in the direction of consolidating and strengthening relations between Tehran and Yerevan as well as promoting cooperation.

He added: Iran has been and will remain a special partner of Armenia. A country that helped establish peace in the region and strengthen stability with its balanced policy.

“Alan Simonian” said in this regard: Iran attaches special importance to relations with Armenia; Relations that are based on historical-cultural connections, mutual economic interests, as well as common approaches to a number of regional issues.

In this meeting, the close and friendly relations established between the two parliaments and initiatives to deepen inter-parliamentary cooperation were greatly appreciated.

The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament said about his visit to Tehran: “One year ago, a delegation led by me had an official and constructive visit to Tehran.” We are waiting for the trip of my honorable colleague Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf to Armenia.
