Special facilities for the youth of the agricultural sector in 1402


According to Fars news agency’s economy reporter, Seyyed Javad Sadatinejad said today at the first National Congress of Young Farmers, stating that the average age of farmers in the country is 53 years and efforts are being made to bring this average age down to 45 years, he said: In this regard, special facilities will be provided to Farmers under 40 will be given.

The Minister of Jihad of Agriculture stated that this facility will be approved by the end of April, and said that special bank facilities with a lower interest rate will be paid to young activists in this area.

Sadatinejad added: We will also provide support to the farmers in the conservatory, and since they are young, it will help to reduce the average age of agricultural sector activists.

He added: In 1402, we will try to have a more suitable guaranteed purchase of the agricultural products of the conservatories.

The Minister of Jihad of Agriculture pointed to the establishment of the nomadic development support fund in 1402 and said: The Farmers Foundation will be established next year, and in this way we will increase our support for the agricultural and nomadic sectors.

Sadatinejad further added: Food is very important in today’s world and is considered a power. Therefore, there has been a lot of competition between countries for the study of food. For this reason, in our country, we look at agriculture as a strategy, and we are gradually abandoning traditional agriculture, and this is our only solution to keep young people in this field.

He stated that in order to increase the production and productivity in the agricultural sector, new science and technology is needed, and he said: To implement this technology in the agricultural sector, educated young people are also needed.

The Minister of Jihad of Agriculture stated: In 1401, 280 knowledge-based companies and 6 innovation villages were established, and these will be developed next year.

* Changing the guaranteed agricultural purchase policy

In the continuation of this ceremony, Mohammad Javad Askari, referring to the change in the guaranteed purchase policy in the country, said: With the establishment of the pricing council, decisions in this sector are made from the bottom up; It means that the farmers themselves are present in this council and are involved in the decisions, and this helps the guaranteed purchase rate for the farmers.

The Chairman of the Parliament’s Agriculture Commission added: “Unfortunately, in the past, decisions were made in such a way that approvals were made and farmers were notified, which sometimes caused dissatisfaction.”

Stating that the employment in the agricultural sector is 35% more than the industrial sector, Askari said: attention to this field will help through the development of transformation and complementary industries and facilitating agricultural exports.

He added: Some problems of farmers in terms of insurance, problems of lack of water and poor soil should be corrected.

* Agricultural problems from the perspective of farmers

In the continuation of this ceremony, some selected people from the agricultural sector presented the problems of this field. Abbas Soltani, a typical poultry farmer from Hamedan, said: The increase in prices and supply of inputs is a big problem for producers. On the other hand, the conversion and finishing industries of the country are not consistent with the amount of production in this area.

This poultry farmer from Hamadani added: There are also weaknesses in the diplomacy industry, and exports in this field are accompanied by obstacles.

He also said: In the agricultural sector, more attention should be paid to reducing water consumption and increasing productivity.

In the end, Soltani suggested that the prices of agricultural products should be determined in accordance with their costs, and guaranteed purchases should be made, as well as production planning, especially in the field of poultry, based on consumption. ‌
