Ebrahim Mirzaei, an activist in the field of tourism and the head of the Professional Association of Tourist Guides of Qazvin province, said in an interview with IRNA reporter: Today, holding events and festivals plays an important role in attracting tourists to different regions, for example, a country like the United Arab Emirates by holding an event like Expo They attract millions of tourists every year.
This tourism activist stated that in our country, including in the attractive province of Qazvin, attention has not been paid to the field of specialized tourism and the use of events and festivals to attract tourists, adding: Of course, steps have been taken in this field in recent years. But it was not enough or necessary.
He stated that in previous years holding some festivals had caused an influx of tourists to Qazvin, but due to the lack of proper infrastructure and necessary planning, this did not continue, adding: For example, in the past years, we had the Blueberry Festival in Alamut, which even It also attracted foreign tourists, but the lack of proper infrastructure caused dissatisfaction among travelers, and this opportunity was not used to attract tourists.
Mirzaei added: Occasions such as “Panjah Badr” or “Qazvin Day” which are held in the months of May and September respectively, are considered a very good opportunity to attract tourists and can be used with a coherent planning. It had a good use capacity for the development of tourism in the province.
Mirzaei also said: Various institutions focusing on cultural heritage should take action regarding the development of specialized tourism by using occasions and rituals and holding festivals, which will undoubtedly witness the prosperity of tourism in Qazvin and the businesses of this region. This official said: Health and agriculture tourism have been more prominent in this field, and for this reason, we have focused on these two in the field of specialized tourism.
Mohammadi added: With the follow-ups, the three hospitals of Pastor, Mehrgan and Velayat in Qazvin have received the standards of health tourism, but they need to be activated in the field of accommodation and reception, and the realization of this issue also requires more introduction and publicity, and in this regard Last year, we dedicated a special booth to this area to introduce health tourism capacities in Qazvin.
The Deputy Tourism Director of Qazvin Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department also said: In the field of agricultural tourism, two licenses have been issued and four applications have been registered, which we are currently reviewing.
He stated: Our priority in the field of agriculture and tourism is olive groves in Tarem Sefli, grape orchards in the vineyard, pistachio orchards in Boyin Zahra, and cherry and blueberry orchards in Alamut.
