Specifications and price of ROG STRIX Scar laptop with 16-core processor

Asus is reportedly working on developing a new version of the ROG STRIX Scar laptop. No specific information has been released by the manufacturer at the moment, but based on the leaked slides, it is said that this product will be equipped with the twelfth generation Alder Lake-HX processor. Stay tuned to Lyon Tak.
The ITHome website has recently been able to access the slides of Asus’ marketing department, and it has been revealed that Asus is building a new model of ROG Strix Scar laptop with updated hardware. The manufacturer is expected to unveil this laptop at the Boundless event, which is scheduled for May 17 (Tuesday, May 27).
Technical specifications of ROG STRIX Scar laptop
The ROG Strix Scar is said to come in several different configurations, with both the Alder Lake-HX high-end processor and its standard version, the Alder Lake-H. Also, in the other part of the report, it was emphasized that the high-end model of this laptop called ROG Strix Scar 6 Plus Ultra will use the Core i9 12900HX processor with 16 cores and 24 threads.
While the incremental frequency of this processor is 5.0 GHz, Asus has been able to increase the frequency of its new laptop to 5.2 GHz with factory overclocking. This makes the ROG STRIX Scar one of the fastest laptops on the market with the highest overclocking rate on a 16-core processor.
Of course, using such a processor will definitely require a very powerful cooling system. In addition to the CPU, Asus plans to use the RTX 3080 Ti graphics card with 16 GB of VRAM memory. Given these specifications, the design of this laptop will probably be thicker than other similar models.
Price and time of supply
The regular model ROG Strix Scar will be available with a 15.5-inch display and the Plus model with a 17.5-inch display. The laptop also supports 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 4 M.2 slots. Asus has not yet announced the price of this product, but according to the specifications, it is expected to start at $ 2,000. As mentioned at the beginning of the news, Asus will most likely unveil this product during the Boundless event.
