Spielberg receives Berlin’s honorary Golden Bear



“Steven Spielberg” is honored at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival by receiving the golden bear award of the festival, for a lifetime of honorable achievement.

Charso Press: Spielberg’s latest film titled “Feblemans”, which looks at his life and growing up as a film-obsessed teenager in Arizona and Northern California, will also be screened at the Berlin Film Festival, the 73rd edition of which runs from February 16 to 26, 2023. “Steven Spielberg, with an incredible career, has not only enchanted generations of audiences around the world, but has also given a new meaning to cinema as a factory of dreams,” Berlinale directors Mariette Riesenbeek and Carlo Chatrian said in a statement. During a long and illustrious career, Spielberg has been nominated for a total of 19 Academy Awards, and his three Academy Awards include two Best Picture awards for The Color Purple and Schindler’s List, and one Best Director award for Saving Private Ryan. .

The 76-year-old filmmaker received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1998 for the film “Schindler’s List”, in 2001 he received the British Knighthood and in 2015 he received the US Presidential Medal of Freedom.
