State Department spokesman: Returning to Burjam would be the best option

Reiterating US and Western claims against Iran’s nuclear program, Ned Price reiterated US and Western claims against Iran’s nuclear program on Monday, local time, in a press conference with reporters on the seventh round of talks between Iran and the P5 + 1 in Vienna, Austria. The P5 + 1 and the international community will be the best option because they will prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
The US State Department official also called the agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency an important and welcome step.
He downplayed progress in recent talks between Iran and the P4 + 1 in Vienna, Austria, but said that we now have a common understanding of the text that will be the basis for talks on nuclear issues. We do not have this text yet, but we do have an outline and agenda for this text.
The State Department spokesman added that “these developments are good and positive, but in different ways they will take us to the previous point in June, and there is still a lot of work to be done.”
The US official continued to fear the progress of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, claiming that all these developments take place in an atmosphere of provocative actions by Iran for nuclear progress.
He claimed that we could not accept a situation in which Iran delayed the talks and on the other hand accelerated its nuclear program.
Without mentioning the violation of the UN Security Council and Washington’s failure to fulfill its UN Security Council obligations despite Iran’s participation in the international agreement, Ned Price claimed that if the pace of diplomacy lags behind, as the three European countries have announced, the UN Security Council will be an empty shell and an unrecoverable body. .
“We are never wasting time thinking about alternatives, and we have done more work on alternatives than you think,” said a Biden State Department spokesman.
Continuing the failed policies of maximum pressure, he claimed that we are actively discussing alternatives with other P5 + 1 members and with other regional partners and beyond.
Ned Price, meanwhile, claimed that, as we have said, we are ready to lift sanctions that are contrary to Borjam when Iran returns to Borjam’s restrictions.

White House spokesman Jen Saki told reporters at a news conference on Monday that the United States had not commented on the breach of the UN Security Council and its commitment to fulfilling its obligations, despite the EU’s positive assessment of the talks and their acknowledgment of progress. During the last round of talks, the president called on the national security team to be prepared in the event of a failed diplomacy and to look at other options, and we have continued to do so in consultation with a range of partners around the world.
A White House spokesman, meanwhile, said he had no plans to take further steps.
The seventh round of Vienna talks ended after nearly three weeks of intensive diplomatic and technical talks in a situation where the three European countries withdrew from their positions despite long resistance and denial of Iran’s demands, and thus talks on a common text that is in line with Iran’s positions. Will be followed up in the next round.

Senior diplomats from Iran, the P4 + 1, and the European Union finally reached two documents after hours of talks at the Coburg Hotel in Vienna, including the views and suggestions of all delegations on the two issues of sanctions and nuclear issues. This document does not mean an agreement to revive the commitments and agreements of 1394, but will be the basis for the continuation of negotiations in the eighth round, which is scheduled to resume in a few days.

Achieving this stage was extremely slow due to the unconstructive positions and resistance of the three European countries. Representatives of Britain, Germany and France unjustifiably insisted during the talks that the talks be pursued within the framework of the Vienna 6 draft, which had been concluded between the P4 + 1 and the former Iranian government.
However, based on the arguments presented and the principled, logical and legitimate positions of the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the European side was persuaded to accept Iran’s views as a basis for serious and fruitful negotiations.
Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary-General of the European External Action Service, who co-chairs the Joint Commission of the UN Security Council with Iran’s chief negotiator, told reporters: They reached an agreement in 2015.

He said the draft included various comments and proposals from the P4 + 1 and Iran on lifting sanctions, nuclear issues and executive arrangements.
Mora stated that this does not mean reaching an agreement, but it will be the basis for the continuation of the talks.
The European official expressed the sense of urgency among the negotiators to revive the 1994 agreement and expressed hope that the talks would be concluded in the next few weeks. He added: “For the eighth round, we have a lot of work and a very complex task ahead of us, which will include making difficult political decisions.

The three European countries also issued a joint statement, cautiously acknowledging the backwardness of their positions in the talks, stating that progress had been made in the talks.
“Some technical progress has been made over the past 24 years, but it only takes us to where the talks were in July,” the statement said.
