Steven Seagal received an award from Putin
Vladimir Putin honored Hollywood actor Steven Seagal with a state award.
Charso Press: According to Reuters, the President of the Russian Federation honored Hollywood actor Steven Seagal with the Russian State Order for his international humanitarian and cultural activities.
This decree states that the 70-year-old actor of action movies will receive the Russian Friendship Medal.
In this decree, the efforts of Seagal, who was an actor in films such as “Besieged” as a special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry for humanitarian relations with the United States and Japan, are mentioned.
This actor, who is also proficient in martial arts, was born in America, worked and lived in Japan, and received a Russian passport in 2016.
Segal, who has always been an admirer of Putin, has visited Russia many times and defended the annexation of Crimea to Russia in 2014 as a sensible move. He joined a pro-Kremlin party in 2021 and this summer he visited a part of eastern Ukraine that has been taken over by Russia.
