Strong response of Sanaa forces to the violation of fire in Ma’rib

According to Fars News Agency’s International Service, media sources affiliated with the Saudi coalition reported the beginning of fierce clashes between the army forces and the Yemeni People’s Committees and the mercenaries of the Saudi coalition and the forces of the resigned and fugitive government.
According to the Yemeni website Aden al-Ghad, the clashes have intensified since this morning with a large-scale attack by Sanaa forces on the fugitive government headquarters and mercenaries of the Saudi-Emirati coalition in the city of Ma’rib, and the clashes continue with artillery attacks.
The operation came after Saudi coalition mercenaries fired two Katyusha rockets at Yemeni army and popular committee positions in the eastern Al-Balq district of Marb province yesterday, firing on civilian homes and army and popular committee positions in The provinces of Ma’rib and Lahj also violated the coalition’s alleged fire six times.
Earlier, despite allegations of arson, armed reconnaissance and reconnaissance planes continued to fly over the provinces of Ma’rib, Taiz, Al-Jawf, Hajjah, Saada, Imran, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhala and Al-Hudaidah.
The UN special envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, also announced the start of a ceasefire in Yemen on April 13. He said a ceasefire had been reached between Sanaa and the Saudi coalition, ending all military operations for two months.
“The parties to the conflict in Yemen have responded positively to the UN proposal for a two-month (humanitarian) ceasefire, which will take effect on April 2,” Grundberg said in a statement. According to the fire, all ground, air and naval military operations will be stopped.
According to the terms of the agreement, 18 ships carrying fuel will enter the ports of Al-Hudaidah and two flights a week will be allowed to use Sanaa Airport. It aims to improve the movement of people inside Yemen. The UN special envoy stressed the importance of building trust between the two sides under the agreement in order to resume the political process to end the conflict in Yemen.
