Taiwan is looking to produce drones similar to Iranian drones – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr news agency, citing Defense Mirror, Taiwan intends to simulate and produce more than 100 drones similar to Iran’s Shahid-136 by 2025.

In this connection, it is more precisely said that Taiwan wants to produce 104 Xian Hsaing drones, which have similarities with Iranian Shahid-136 drones and are currently being used by Russia against Ukraine, within the next three years.

The Xian Hsiang can be launched by a vehicle, and the drone can effectively intercept various radar systems deployed by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) along the coast, said Chi Li-ping, head of the Taiwan-based arms manufacturer, according to Taiwan News. or governed into the sea, it can suppress.

The UAV was developed by the Aviation Systems Research Division of the National Chongshan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) and made its debut at the 2019 Taipei Aerospace and Defense Technology Expo 2019.

According to the report, the small-sized Xian Hsiang comes in two variants: an anti-radiation weapon and a decoy weapon. The first one is designed to engage enemy missile positions and radar stations, and the second type aims to activate and deceive the enemy’s radar.

Xian Hsiang’s anti-radiation drone has a range of up to 1,000 km and reaches a speed of 500 to 600 km per hour during the dive phase. They can stay in the sky for five hours and take out hostile drones.

In general, kamikaze drones do not need a runway. Each drone is loaded into a separate compartment in a launch vehicle and can carry up to 12 attack drones. According to the Taiwanese company that produces these drones, the deployment, launch and movement of the vehicles can be done in a short period of time, improving the operational flexibility and survivability of the weapon system.

Therefore, Taiwan is supposed to produce more than 100 drones similar to the Iranian Shahid 136 drone by 2025.

US switchable drones, Russian Lancet drones, and Iranian Shahid-136 drones have recently attracted a lot of media attention as they are widely used in Ukraine.

Xi’an Hsiang’s UAVs are similar to Iran’s Shahid 136 UAVs and both have a delta wing design. While the capabilities are similar, Iranian drones seem to be able to perform better.

The Shahid-136 UAV used in Iran’s armed forces is used in three models: anti-personnel and armored, anti-fortification and radar seeker. The nose part contains a cap whose weight is estimated between 30 and 50 kg. The engine is located at the rear of the fuselage and drives a two-bladed propeller in a thrust arrangement. This ammunition has a length of 3.5 meters and a wingspan of 2.5 meters, flies at a speed of 185 kilometers per hour and weighs about 200 kilograms. The range is estimated to be between 1,800 and 2,500 km, which can be used in a pre-programmed direct attack mode of munitions (somewhat similar to long-range cruise missiles) as well as a long-range munitions mode limited by a radio signal range of about 150 km. can be used
