Takht-e Ravanchi: The occupiers should leave Syria without delay and without preconditions

According to IRNA, Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations, said at a Security Council meeting on Wednesday evening at a meeting of the Security Council to review Syria’s political developments: What is still being violated by the aggression of the Israeli regime and the terrorists.
The Iranian ambassador to the United Nations added: “The problems and sufferings of the Syrian people as a result of the occupation, aggression and imposition of illegal and inhumane sanctions by the United States and European countries continue.”
Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations stated that in 2021, Syria witnessed a relatively calm situation and the gradual return of Syrian refugees and asylum seekers. The situation in the Syrian regions and its bilateral relations with some countries have improved.
He stressed that while there is no military solution to the Syrian crisis, it cannot be completed without ending the occupation, restoring sovereignty and territorial integrity, and countering the threat of terrorism.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations stated that in this regard, all occupying and uninvited foreign forces must leave Syria without any preconditions or further delays.
Takht-e Ravanchi said the council should strongly condemn the recent Israeli cabinet meeting in the occupied Syrian Golan and the announcement by Israeli officials that two new settlements would be built there and force the Israeli regime to end its occupation of the Syrian Golan.
He stated that any action aimed at changing the legal and demographic situation of the occupied Syrian Golan is void and has no legal effect.
“In the political process, Iran supports the efforts of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Syria to help resolve the Syrian crisis,” said the Iranian ambassador to the United Nations.
“We once again reject separatist and illegal activities in Syria and condemn any attempt to support these illegal actions,” said Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations.
He stressed that the Syrian crisis must be resolved peacefully and in accordance with the principles of international law, in particular full respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries.
