Takhtrovanchi’s meeting with the Secretary General of the United Nations at the end of the mission period



In this constructive and friendly meeting, Takht Ravanchi discussed issues such as the NPT review conference, JCPOA and regional issues including the Persian Gulf, as well as the role of the UN in the international arena.

According to IRNA, the Secretary General of the United Nations also talked with Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Thursday.

On Thursday local time, United Nations Spokesman Stephen Dujarric announced to the reporters about the conversation between the Secretary General of this organization and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran regarding the JCPOA and said: The two sides discussed and exchanged views regarding Iran’s nuclear program and the JCPOA.

The spokesperson of the United Nations added that Guterres stressed the importance of the efforts of all parties to the JCPOA in this call to revive it.

According to Dujarric, the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) was also among the issues discussed by the two sides.

Takht Ravanchi was previously the ambassador and permanent representative of Iran in the United Nations, and now at the end of his mission, “Amir Saeed Irvani” The new ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations in New York will be his successor.

Before that, Irvani was the secretary of the Strategic Council of Foreign Relations and deputy of foreign policy and international security of the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council, as well as Iran’s Chargé d’Affaires in Iraq.

Ayatollah Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on August 2nd, in a meeting with some of the new ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including Irvani, introduced the ambassadors as representatives of the Islamic system, who should represent and provide for the interests and values ​​of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The President stressed the need to evaluate the performance of ambassadors based on the goals set for each country, including the amount of contribution to the economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, special attention to the affairs of Iranians abroad, and the observance and development of Islamic and revolutionary values ​​in the personal and family behavior of ambassadors. And confronting any unhealthy economic relations in the field of the mission, he considered them obliged to try for the final realization of the goals and policies of the country.
