Taliban official: Afghanistan will soon establish economic relations with the world


Amir Khan Mottaqi, the acting foreign minister of the Taliban interim government, said at the inauguration of the Minister of Trade and Industry that Afghanistan would soon establish strong economic ties with the region and the world.

Mottaqi added that he is working for Afghanistan’s economic growth.

“We have chosen one of these sectors as the Minister of Trade and Industry for the better activities of the private sector,” he said. “The hope is that the private sector will play an active role in Afghanistan’s economy.”

Meanwhile, the Taliban’s acting Minister of Industry and Trade said he would work for Afghanistan’s economic self-sufficiency and continue to expand its economic ties regionally and internationally.

“Our effort is to have a self-sufficient Afghanistan and to have relations with neighboring countries and the United States, Britain, the United Arab Emirates and other countries,” said Nooruddin Aziz, acting head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the interim Taliban government. »
