Tanaz Tabatabai: The movie “Dreamless” is not about schizophrenia!

According to the Fars news agency’s cinema correspondent, the press conference of the movie “Dreamless” with the presence of agents was held a few minutes ago in the main hall of the Milad Tower Conference Center in Tehran.
Tanaz Tabatabai said in this meeting: “It may be perceived that I have played the role of schizophrenia, but this is not the case.” Neither the film is about schizophrenia, nor the role I played. But there is no denying that there are psychological layers in the film.
Tabatabai added: “The issue of schizophrenia is not very relevant in the script, but after the process of making a license and receiving a show license on the way to the Fajr Festival, we had to accept it.”
He added: “I really liked the whole script and the shift in identity that comes from the second half of the film was fascinating.” In my opinion, the most terrifying experience that a human being can experience is the loss of identity.
Tabatabai said: “In one of my eyes, there was a lens with a red spot in the corner, and the production of this lens was formed with the idea and initiative of the film’s makeup designer.”
Identity is a keyword, not schizophrenia
Maedeh Tahmasebi also said about accepting her role: “When I read the script, I was very excited and I would have liked to have a role in this film و and I am very optimistic about the future of Arian Wazirftari.” Thanks to Hooman Sidi who took the hand of a short filmmaker and helped make his feature film. This should happen in our cinema and fill the vacancies of our great directors.
The office minister also said: “Thank you to the actors who accepted to play the role, regardless of their shortness or length.”
The director of “Dreamless” stated: The key word of my film is identity, not schizophrenia.
He did not give a clear answer about the repeated reference to the Batman logo in his film.
Regarding his interest in filmmakers such as Kaufman and Polanski, the Secretary of State said that he had chosen the idea of suspending the film from the works of these filmmakers.
He emphasized: Attending the Fajr Film Festival was important for me and I tried to show the best and most complete version available. I hope that in the public screening, we will be trusted more so that the audience can share in the film.
Shadi Karamroudi, who played the role of “Ziba”, also said: “It was the most complicated role I have ever played, because I played several identities.”
The film’s producer Hooman Sidi, in response to the fact that the audience was tired of seeing his work, said: “Think.” I do not want to generalize the comments, it should be more accurate, and when asked, I should say that I am tired of watching the movie, this is more accurate.
