Tariff on imported cars should be reduced

The representative of the people of Varamin, Peshwa and Qarchak in the Islamic Council likened some domestic cars to chariots of death and added: The poor quality of domestic cars and their insecurity, which endangers people’s lives, cannot be justified and accepted.

Stating that until there is competition in the automobile industry, the situation of this industry will not change in the country, he added: Some argue that imports will harm domestic production, this may be true in the short term, but in the long term It is for the benefit of domestic car manufacturers and people.

This representative of the people in the 11th parliament pointed out that the car manufacturer does not consider itself obliged to compete in the exclusive market because people are forced to buy cars of any quality and at any price. This product, quality improvement will not be important for the car manufacturer.

A member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Council considered strictness in car imports as another reason for increasing the problems in this area and stated: People’s rights must be respected, just as it is done for goods and services, import and export, related concerns must be addressed. We are not looking for damage to domestic production, but this issue should not be at the cost of people’s lives.

Noushabadi stated that the import tariff should be reduced in order for all people to benefit from high-quality cars, and added: If the domestic car manufacturers know that apart from their products, there are also quality and cheap cars in the market, in order to improve the quality and reduce the price, They do their best.
