Tax Authority: The Ministry of Roads is sending the wrong text message to receive taxes from homes

According to the economic correspondent of Fars News Agency, following the sending of a text message on tax payment for vacant houses and the mistakes made, the Tax Affairs Organization issued a statement and informed the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of any mistake in sending a text message or identifying residential units.

A few days ago, Fars News Agency reported on the situation of receiving taxes and sending text messages to the owners of vacant houses. Many people complained about the mistakes made and expressed their protest in the media.

Now, according to the problems that have arisen, the Tax Affairs Organization announced: “The taxable person should take action to accept and pay the tax or not to accept and register the explanations and the reason for not accepting it.”

Considering that the responsibility for identifying vacant residential units subject to tax is with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the calculated taxes have been determined and announced based on that, so if a real estate unit is mistakenly identified as an empty residential unit and introduced to the Tax Affairs Organization If the matter is announced, the matter will be followed up through the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, and if it is wrongly approved by the said ministry, it will be corrected in the tax systems.

Also, Jahangir Rahimi, the head of the Tax Process Planning and Analysis Office of the Tax Affairs Organization, recently said on Radio and TV: “According to statistics, only between 50 and 60 homeowners have applied to pay taxes on vacant housing units.”

According to Fars, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, according to one of the notes of Article 169 of the Direct Taxes Law, is in charge of launching the national real estate and housing system and must send correct information to the online tax organization in order to receive taxes on vacant units.
