Tax penalty pending for banks


According to Tejarat News, the Director General of the Housing Economics Office of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development said: If bank branches refuse to pay the facility, they will be subject to a 20% tax penalty.

He continued: This year, 40,000 billion Tomans have been allocated for housing loans and deposits, and these facilities have been distributed to banks, provinces and branches, and the central bank has notified the banking system.

Stating that the payment of this facility has been notified to the operating banks, he said: Tax Affairs Organization calculates the bank’s 20% quota for paying the housing deposit, and if a bank does not pay, it will be taxed.
