Technoblock conference; Signing of memorandum of understanding between Iran and Russia in the field of blockchain


Technoblock International Conference, which was the first conference in the field of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, was held in Tehran on Thursday, August 13, with the presence of a group of experts in this field from Russia and Turkey.

To Report Online Economy, the purpose of holding this conference is to develop cooperation between countries in the field of digital economy, and a memorandum of understanding was signed between Iran and Russia in this regard.

Hossein Khosropour, the head of the digital economy group of the presidential development and cooperation center, explained at the end of the technoblock conference about the achievement of this conference between Russia and Iran:

Regarding the negotiations, the delegations that came to Iran were able to negotiate with different parts of the country in three seasons. In relation to the issues of cooperation between Iran and Russia, we had meetings with the presence of various ministries and the Center for Development and Development Cooperation of the Presidency, which mainly reached initial understandings and the process of reaching a complete memorandum was formed.

Khosropour pointed out that the second meeting was held following the request of the associations of the two countries.

Trade union cooperation between Iran and Russia is going to be pursued, and in the meantime, a visit to active companies in Iran was also made, and these negotiations can be summarized in three headings.

In the explanation of the first chapter about which an understanding has been reached, he admitted:

The first agreement in the field of investment in various sectors of the country’s digital economy is that the representatives of Russia showed their desire to make significant investments in Iran in various fields, and in the coming months we will have good news about attracting capital.

The head of the Digital Economy Group of the Presidential Development and Cooperation Center said regarding the second chapter that Iran and Russia reached an agreement on:

In relation to the topic of launching joint platforms between the two countries, considering the capacities that Iran and Russia have in the field of digital economy, cryptocurrency and e-commerce, they are going to have platforms in the process of being launched jointly, and these initial discussions have led to initial pilots and We hope it will start as soon as possible.

Khosropour explained about the business development of startups in Russia:

Based on the visit of these delegations and the capabilities of the country’s companies, suggestions were made that these startups could develop their market in Russia, and the Russian representatives also showed interest in this issue.

He added:

In the end, based on the negotiations, we reached an understanding that an agreement will be created as a draft of the Union of International Digital Economy Associations, which until now, the countries of Iran and Russia form the founding board of this union.

Khosropour said about the next event of the Technoblock conference:

According to the proposal of the Russian delegation, about a month later we are going to have an event related to the technoblock issue in Russia, in which countries such as Iran, India, Turkey and China will participate, so that we can reach a comprehensive and important agreement. Let us witness in the field of digital economy of countries.

In the end, he said:

We hope that this agreement, which was signed as a draft, will be followed up with appropriate strength by the private sectors of the two countries and that we can create a comprehensive ecosystem in the region and even internationally among the active companies of these countries based on the agreement that has been formed.
