Tehran air quality 15 May 1402 / Tehran air quality index is at 61 and healthy

According to the Moj news agency, based on the forecasts made in the control company Air quality in Tehran Effective wind blowing until the morning of May 15 and the reduction of car traffic on the holiday will lead to an acceptable situation in most areas. Reducing wind speed during the day will prevent the dispersion of pollutants.
Due to the absence of effective wind until late Friday, along with the increase in evening traffic, a relative increase in the concentration of suspended particles and a decrease in air quality are expected in some high-traffic areas.
With the increase in wind speed, the concentration of pollutants will decrease to some extent by tomorrow morning (May 16), although the concentration of suspended particles will gradually increase with the start of car traffic, and an unhealthy situation is expected for sensitive groups in some high-traffic areas.
The rule of a relatively calm atmosphere during the day will limit the dispersion of pollutants, and with the increase in temperature in the afternoon hours, it is not far off to expect an increase in the concentration of ozone pollutants and a decrease in air quality in some areas.
Continuation of these weather conditions until late Saturday, along with the increase in evening traffic, will increase the concentration of suspended particles and lead to an unhealthy situation for sensitive groups in some high-traffic areas.
According to the announcement of Tehran Air Quality Control Company, currently the average pollutant index of “suspended particles less than 2.5 microns” is 61 and in acceptable conditions. Also, the pollutant of the air index of the capital during the last 24 hours was “nitrogen dioxide” with an average of 47, and the air quality of the capital was in acceptable conditions.
