According to the predictions made by the Tehran Air Quality Control Company, this morning due to the relatively calm atmosphere and the increase in car traffic, the concentration of pollutants will increase, and an unhealthy situation is expected for sensitive groups in some high-traffic areas.
An increase in wind speed during the day will facilitate the dispersion of pollutants, however, an increase in temperature in the afternoon hours will cause an increase in the concentration of ozone pollutants and a decrease in air quality in some areas.
The continuation of effective wind blowing until the last hours of Tuesday will reduce the concentration of suspended particles and the establishment of an acceptable situation in most areas will not be far from expected.
The relative decrease in wind speed until the morning of June 3 will increase the concentration of suspended particles and decrease the air quality in some high-traffic areas.
The absence of effective wind during the day will limit the dispersion of pollutants, in addition, with the increase in temperature in the afternoon hours, there will be a possibility of increasing the concentration of ozone pollutants and decreasing the air quality in some areas.
Due to the strengthening of atmospheric instability, the growth of clouds and the relative increase in wind speed, the concentration of suspended particles will decrease until the end of Wednesday, which will lead to the establishment of an acceptable situation in most areas.
According to the announcement of Tehran Air Quality Control Company, the average pollutant index of “suspended particles less than 2.5 microns” is 99 and is in acceptable conditions. The pollutant index of the air in the capital during the last 24 hours was “suspended particles less than 2.5 microns” with an average of 91, and the air quality of the capital was in acceptable conditions.
