Tehran needs a heritage identity
According to the General Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, Ali Darabi, while appreciating the measures taken in the new term of Tehran Municipality, pointed to the joint cooperation and said: “During this period, good measures have been taken. Continue to be careful. One of these cases is paying attention to the city of Rey. This area is full of historical attractions. Inshallah, with the efforts of the municipality, cultural heritage and other institutions, the historical complex of the city of Rey, Tughral tower, Kahrizak ancient region, the shrine of Imam Khomeini, Behesht Zahra and the holy graves of the martyrs to a large historical, pilgrimage and tourism site in the heart of Tehran “It can take shape.”
The Deputy Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, stating that the method of cooperation and interaction in the comprehensive map is another way of joint cooperation, continued: “Part of what the municipality can do is help the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts.”
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage also stressed Tehran’s need for a dedicated museum.
Establish a special working group between the municipality and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage for further cooperation
Also in this meeting, Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran, pointed to the joint cooperation between the municipality and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts in the new round and said: “For more cooperation, we need to form a special working group between the municipality and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.”
“The issue of protecting and caring for museums and the capacity of urban signs and publicity will also be part of the working group’s mission,” he said. Along with Tehran, the smart city, it is necessary to consider the issue of cultural, cultural and historical heritage as an identity. “Tehran with this background definitely needs a heritage identity.”
