Tehran Tourism and Handicrafts Exhibition was opened with the presence of activists from 47 countries

The 16th International Exhibition of Tourism and Related Industries and the 36th National Handicrafts Exhibition were officially opened at the permanent location of the Tehran International Exhibition.
According to the IRNA tourism reporter, the 16th International Tourism and Related Industries Exhibition and the 36th National Handicrafts Exhibition officially started this morning, Tuesday, 18 Bahman 1401, with the presence of Seyed Ezzatullah Zarghami, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, at the permanent site of the Tehran International Exhibition.
200 tourism industry activists from 47 countries are present in this exhibition, which will be held until 21 February.
After the official opening of this exhibition, the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts visited its various sections and had a close conversation with a number of exhibitors.
The 16th Tehran International Exhibition of Tourism and Related Industries and the 36th National Handicraft Exhibition will be held in 15 halls and a space of about 67,000 square meters, as well as 800 square meters of exhibition with the presence of more than 70 health tourism licensed centers.
Foreign participants participating in this exhibition will be present in the form of exhibitors and visitors, and a hall has been prepared for private sector negotiations.
Qatar, Iraq, Japan, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Russia and Venezuela are among the countries that have booths in the exhibition, Oman, Russia, Tajikistan, UAE, Syria, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Lebanon, Libya, Algeria, China Iraq, Georgia are among the countries that are present in the exhibition.
Also, in this year’s exhibition, based on specific and targeted strategies, handicrafts activists are specially present and their works are displayed in four specialized halls.
On the sidelines of this exhibition, specialized workshops, training courses and round tables will be held. Also, 150 meters of the exhibition space has been allocated to students of tourism and handicrafts.
This year’s exhibition, like the previous ones, has a special section dedicated to health tourism and halls 6, 7, 8, 9 and 27 of Tehran International Exhibition to handicraft products and activities.
Maryam Jalali, Deputy of Handicrafts, said that according to Note 18, a loan for the purchase of handicrafts for the exhibition will be given with an interest of 8 to 12%, but she has not explained the details of how and the terms of payment yet.
A caravan of historic cars will be present in the exhibition area every day, along with travel vans.
Like every year, part of the exhibition space is dedicated to nomadic tents that display their lifestyle and products.
Ardabil, which was introduced as the tourism capital of ECO member countries this year, also started its activity at the same time as the opening of this exhibition and with the presence of the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts in the booth of this province.
The international tourism exhibition is held every year in February to be an opportunity to review travel destinations and plan for Nowruz trips.
The 16th International Tourism Exhibition and the 36th National Handicraft Exhibition will be held until Friday 21 Bahman (for four days) at the permanent location of Tehran International Exhibitions.
