Tehran’s air quality, May 1, 1402 / Tehran’s air quality index is 84 and healthy

According to the announcement of the air quality control company of Tehran city, today, Friday, May 1, 1402, the air quality index is currently at number 84 and is in the healthy range.
According to Moj news agency, according to the forecasts made in the control company Air quality in Tehran The lack of effective wind and the accumulation of pollutants until this morning will cause an unhealthy situation for sensitive groups in some high-traffic areas. Reducing the speed of the wind during the day will prevent the dispersion of pollutants, in addition, with the increase in temperature in the afternoon hours, there will be a possibility of the formation and increase of the concentration of ozone pollutants and the reduction of air quality in some areas.
With the unstable formation of the atmosphere until late Friday and the increase in wind speed, it is expected to reduce the concentration of suspended particles and establish an acceptable situation in most areas.
On Saturday, May 2nd, with the continuation of these weather conditions until tomorrow morning and the reduction of car traffic on the holiday, the concentration of suspended particles will decrease. The relative increase in wind speed during the day will facilitate the dispersion of pollutants, although relatively strong winds in the afternoon hours and the possibility of dust emission in some prone areas will not be far from expected. The continuation of effective wind until late Saturday will reduce the concentration of suspended particles and will lead to the establishment of an acceptable situation in most areas.
According to the announcement of Tehran Air Quality Control Company, the average pollutant index of “suspended particles less than 2.5 microns” is 84 and is in acceptable conditions. Also, the pollutant index of the capital’s air during the last 24 hours was “suspended particles less than 2.5 microns” with an average of 73, and the air quality of the capital was in acceptable conditions.
It should be mentioned that the air quality (AQI) is divided into five main categories, based on which it is defined from 0 to 50 in the range of clean air, from 51 to 100 the air is acceptable, healthy or average, and from 101 to 150 Unhealthy air for sensitive groups. In the range of 151 to 200, the air is in the unhealthy range for all groups, and in the range of 201 to 300, the air is in the very unhealthy range. According to this classification, air quality conditions in the range of 301 to 500 are dangerous.
