Tehran’s air quality on July 7, 1402 / Tehran’s air quality index is at number 111

According to the announcement of the air quality control company of Tehran, today, Wednesday, July 7, 1402, the air quality index is currently at 111.

According to Moj news agency, according to the forecasts made in the control company Air quality in Tehran In the morning of Wednesday (July 7), due to the lack of effective wind and the increase in car traffic, the air quality in most high-traffic areas will be in the unhealthy range for sensitive groups. The relative increase in wind speed during the day facilitates the dispersion of pollutants, however, with the increase in temperature in the afternoon hours, there will be a possibility of production and increase in concentration of ozone pollutant and decrease in air quality in some areas.

The decrease in wind speed until late Wednesday will result in an increase in evening traffic, an increase in the concentration of suspended particles and a decrease in air quality in high traffic areas.

The lack of effective wind until the morning of Thursday (July 8) and the increase in car traffic will increase the concentration of suspended particles and decrease the air quality in most of the high traffic areas. With the continuation of these atmospheric conditions during the day, suitable conditions will not be provided for the dispersion of pollutants, and the production and increase in the concentration of ozone pollutants due to the increase in temperature in the afternoon hours will reduce the air quality in some areas.

The lack of effective wind until Thursday evening will increase the concentration of suspended particles and an unhealthy situation for sensitive groups is expected in most high-traffic areas.

The pollutant of the air index of the capital during the last 24 hours was “suspended particles less than 2.5 microns” with an average of 111, and the air quality of the capital was in an unhealthy state for sensitive groups. The current indicator pollutant is “suspended particles less than 2.5 microns” with an average of 113 and the air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups.

It should be mentioned that the air quality index (AQI) is divided into five main categories. Based on this division, from zero to 50 “clean” air, from 51 to 100 “acceptable (healthy) or average” air, from 101 to 150 “unhealthy for sensitive groups”, from 151 to 200 “unhealthy for all” groups”, from 201 to 300 air is “very unhealthy” and from 301 to 500 air quality conditions are “dangerous”.
