Tehran’s air quality on June 3, 1402 / Tehran’s air quality index is 98

According to Moj news agency, according to the announcement of the control company Air quality in Tehran As of Wednesday June 3rd, the average air quality of the capital is in acceptable conditions, but with the lack of wind and car traffic, the air quality in most high-traffic areas becomes unhealthy for sensitive groups.

According to the predictions made by the air quality control company of Tehran, this morning (June 3) due to the lack of effective wind and the increase in car traffic, the air quality in most of the high traffic areas will be in the unhealthy range for sensitive groups.

Reducing the wind speed during the day prevents the dispersion of pollutants. In addition, with the increase in temperature in the afternoon hours, there will be a possibility of production and increase in the concentration of ozone pollutants in some areas.

By the end of Wednesday, the wind speed will increase and the concentration of pollutants will decrease to some extent, although with the increase in evening traffic, an increase in the concentration of suspended particles and a decrease in air quality in high-traffic areas will not be far from expected.

Relatively strong wind blowing and sometimes accompanied by the emission of dust until the morning of Thursday (June 4) and the increase in the traffic of cars will lead to a relative increase in the concentration of suspended particles and a decrease in air quality in some high-traffic areas.

With the formation of atmospheric instability and the increase in wind speed during the day, suitable conditions are provided for the dispersion of pollutants, however, the production and increase in the concentration of ozone pollutants due to the increase in temperature in the afternoon hours will cause a decrease in air quality in some areas.

The strengthening of instability, the growth of clouds and the continuation of effective winds until Thursday evening will reduce the concentration of suspended particles and the improvement of air quality is expected in most areas.

According to the announcement of Tehran Air Quality Control Company, the average pollutant index of “suspended particles less than 2.5 microns” is 98 and is in acceptable conditions. The pollutant index of the capital’s air during the past 24 hours was “suspended particles less than 2.5 microns” with an average of 100, and the air quality of the capital was in acceptable conditions.
