Tehran’s air quality reached an acceptable level


The air quality of Tehran in the last 24 hours has remained at the “acceptable” level with an average pollutant index of 89 for suspended particles less than 2.5 microns.


According to Moj news agency, the air pollutant index of the capital during the last 24 hours was “suspended particles less than 2.5 microns” with an average of 89, and the air quality of the capital was classified as acceptable. Currently, the pollutant index is still “particulate matter less than 2.5 microns” with an average of 90 and the air quality is still acceptable.

Indicator air quality (AQI) is divided into five main categories, ranging from 0 to 50 for “clean” air, 51 to 100 for “acceptable (healthy) or average” air, and from 101 to 150 for “unhealthy for sensitive groups”. 151 to 200 for “unhealthy for all” groups, 201 to 300 for “very unhealthy” air quality, and 301 to 500 for “hazardous” air quality conditions.
