Thawing of Tehran-Riyadh relations improved Hajj services for Iranians – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr news agency, Reuters has written that the agreement between Riyadh and Tehran to resume diplomatic relations has made Saudi Arabia improve Hajj services for Iranian pilgrims.

According to Reuters, Iranian pilgrims went to Masjid al-Haram in brand new buses this week to perform evening prayers. A number of Iranian pilgrims in a conversation with this news agency confirmed the improvement of the quality and services of Saudi Arabia to Iranian pilgrims.

Seyed Mehdi, who is responsible for about 2,800 Iranian pilgrims in this year’s Hajj ceremony, told Reuters that Saudi Arabia is much more cooperative in finding hotels for Iranians this year.

Saudi Arabia is preparing to host around 2.6 million pilgrims in 2023, lifting all restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic for the first time since 2019. According to the Iranian media, out of this number of pilgrims, about 87,550 people from Iran are on their way to the Land of Revelation.

Saudi Arabia and Iran resumed diplomatic relations after seven years in March with the mediation of China.
