The 75th Emmy recognized its 75 nominations/ “Succession” won 27 nominations



The nominations for the 2023 Emmy Awards were announced yesterday, and the series “Succession” set a record in history with 27 nominations and 3 nominations among male actors.

Charso Press: According to Variety, the nominees for the 75th Emmy Awards have been announced to select the best American television programs in 2023. In the nomination announcement program, which was full of surprises, the drama “Succession” from HBO received 27 nominations and topped the nominations. After that, “Our Last Survivors” with 24 nominations and “White Lotus” with 23 nominations are again HBO productions. After them, “Ted Lasso” from Apple TV took place with 21 nominations and became the biggest comedy of the year.

After HBO, Netflix was another successful producer of the year and thanks to “Hospitality”, “Dammer” and “Chershanbe” received many nominations, each of which was in 2 digits.

In the Best Drama Series category, “Endor,” “Better Call the Year,” “The Crown,” “Dragon Family,” “The Last of Us,” “Succession,” “White Lotus” and “The Yellowjackets” are competing.

In the category of the best comedy series, “Abbott Elementary”, “Berry”, “The Bear”, “Judge Duty”, “The Amazing Mrs. Mizelle”, “The Only Murders in the Building”, “Ted Lasso” and “Wednesday” are nominated.

Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong for “Succession”, Jeff Bridges for “The Old Man”, Bob Odenkirk for “Better Call the Year”, Pedro Pascal for “The Last of Us” are the contenders for Best Actor in a Drama Series, and in the leading actress in a drama series Sharon Horgan for “Bad Sisters”, Melanie Lynskey for “Yellowjackets”, Elisabeth Moss for “The Handmaid’s Tale”, Bella Ramsey for “The Last Our Survivors,” Keri Russell is competing for “The Diplomat” and Sarah Snook is competing for “The Successor.”

In the category of best actor in a leading role in a comedy series, Bill Hader for “Barry”, Jason Segel for “Psychotherapy”, Martin Short for “The Only Murders in the Building”, Jason Sudeikis for “Ted Lasso” and Jeremy Allen White for “The Bear” are competing. Female nominees in this category include Christina Applegate for “I’m Dead,” Rachel Brosnahan for “The Amazing Mrs. Mizelle,” Quinta Branson for “Abbott Elementary,” Natasha Lyonne for “Poker Face,” and Jenna Ortega for “Wednesday.”

Among the male nominees for the supporting role in the drama series, the names of the actors of the series “Succession” have taken the main part, including Nicholas Brann, Matthew Macfadyen, Alan Rock and Alexander Skarsgård. On the other hand, among the supporting actresses of the drama series, the most nominations have been given to the actors of “White Lotus”, which includes Jennifer Coolidge, Megan Feehy, Sabrina Impachatore, Abri Plaza and Simona Tabasco. Other contenders for this category are Nari Seahorn for “Better Call the Year” and Elizabeth Debicki for “The Crown.”

In the category of the best miniseries, “Hospitality”, “Dahmer – Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer”, “Dizzy Jones and the Gang of Six”, “Flashman in Trouble” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi” compete.

Currently, the ceremony of introducing the winners and presenting the awards is set for September 18, but the possibility of changing this date is high due to the writers’ strike and the actors’ possible strike.
