The 94th Academy Awards / “Koda” won the Academy Award for Best Picture

According to Fars News Agency, the 94th Academy Awards ceremony began on Sunday night, March 27, Los Angeles time (Monday morning, April 28, Iran time) with the awarding of the winners of the cinema.
The 2022 Oscar ceremony will be held for the first time after 2018 with a traditional performer. The previous three Oscars had aired without a regular performer. Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes are the three hosts of the 94th Academy Awards.
In this period of the Oscars, for the first time, an idea has been designed for Twitter users to choose their favorite movie. According to the academy, Twitter users for the first time could use the hashtag #OscarsFanFavorite to vote for their favorite movies screened in 2021, regardless of whether they were nominated for an Oscar or not. The ceremony will be introduced tonight.
“The Power of the Dog” by Jane Campion and produced by Netflix, which premiered at the 2021 Venice Film Festival, is nominated in 12 categories.
At the ceremony, Deaf actor Troy Cotsor became the first deaf male actor in the history of cinema to win an Oscar, although actress Marley Matlin had previously been named the first deaf actor to win an Oscar. “I just wanted to say that this award is for the deaf community, the cod community (abbreviation for children of deaf adults) and the disabled community,” Troy Cotsor said in sign language when receiving the award.
Jane Kempion became the third female filmmaker in history to win the Academy Award for Best Director, after Katherine Bigelow and Kelley Zhao. Campion received this year’s Academy Award for directing “Dog Power.”
Will Smith was spotted at the ceremony before receiving the Academy Award for Best Actor for slapping Chris Rock for joking with Smith’s wife’s hairstyle during the ceremony. Of course, Smith apologized for his behavior when he received the award from the Academy Awards.
