The ability of handicrafts of Kerman province to cover global markets

Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kerman Province, referring to the very rich historical, cultural and handicraft assets of Kerman Province, added: This province has seven world-registered works, and due to tourism capacities, it is a part of the axis of the province’s development in this sector.

An activist said: In the first quarter of this year, we have seen a 79% increase in tourist arrivals to the province compared to the same period last year, because the infrastructure was developed and better conditions were provided.

Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kerman province said: We have five national crafts cities in the province and these capacities are unique in the country.

Pointing out that the export of handcraft luggage is usually one hundred dollars per tourist and there are no accurate statistics in this field in the country, an activist said: Last year, we exported handcraft luggage worth $225,416.

He pointed out: 500 billion tomans is the value of handicraft products of the province that can be sold, and if we can create a market in Lebanon and the target cities, it will be a good field for export, and artists in this field need help and support.
