The ability to hide the number is finally added to WhatsApp

Recently, information about the new possibility for WhatsApp messaging users to hide their phone number from contacts has been published in the Android application.
Today, in the virtual world, the WhatsApp messenger is one of the most widely used and popular messengers in the world. This program has had flaws and problems and has sometimes had limitations in competition with its peers, but recently this widely used app has decided to release a new update and added a useful feature.
We’re talking about a version for the Google Play beta testing program, and this feature is currently under development. It is not yet clear whether the opportunity to use the number hiding feature will appear for all users. According to the WABetaInfo portal, which usually publishes detailed insider information about new WhatsApp updates and developments, users will soon be able to hide their phone number from their contacts.
So far, this feature has been considered only in certain groups for the owners of the Android operating system. According to the available information, the ability to hide the number will be disabled by default, and users can enable it if they wish.
After this update, the only people who can see your number are the people with whom you share the same group. The phone number of the person who joins the group does not appear at first by default. But after the user joins a certain group, it is possible to see his number, but this feature will be visible only to the people of that group.
The screenshot allows you to evaluate how the innovation is displayed in the group setting. Outside of communities, such functionality has yet to be provided. Note that top messengers like Telegram have long offered the option to hide phone numbers by default.
Other features of WhatsApp beta version
In addition to the new ability to hide the number, WhatsApp developers have added other features to this messenger. This feature allows group administrators to delete any message for all users. Currently, this feature is available in version 2.22.17.12 for WhatsApp beta testers on Android. A group administrator who wants to delete a received message can delete the message of any person he wants by clicking the delete for everyone option.
The user’s name will be displayed in the chat bubble during deletion, and everyone in the group will be able to see that he or she is the one who deleted the message. Increasing the size of file sharing, muting messages of certain users in a group chat, hiding the last profile picture and online status from certain contacts are some of the other features of the new version of this popular application.
