The ability to register without a phone number in the new Telegram update

Before this update, users had to use their mobile number to create a Telegram user account.

Other features of this updated version include automatic deletion of messages for new chats and anti-spam functionality. Telegram has announced that new users can create user accounts using blockchain-based anonymous numbers available on the Fragment platform.

According to Telegram, the feature of automatic deletion of messages in new chats only works on messages that are exchanged after enabling it. It is also possible to add Topics for groups with more than 100 members in the new version.

Groups with the “Topics” feature enabled will open in 2-column mode, allowing users to jump directly from their chat list to the latest topic and discuss the desired topic.
