With the addition of the feature of restoring messages in WhatsApp, if you mistakenly deleted a message only for yourself, you can restore it again.
In 2017, WhatsApp added the ability to cancel sent messages to its messenger after a long hiatus. If you are a user of this program, you have probably accidentally pressed the Detect for me button instead of the Delete for everyone option. To solve this problem, WhatsApp has added a new feature to restore deleted messages, which allows the user to restore the message that you mistakenly canceled only for yourself, and if you want, delete it altogether.
The messaging service first started working on the feature in August 2022, and some beta users have already received it. Through this feature, when you accidentally delete a message, a floating bar notification with an Undo button will appear for 5 seconds.
Although the 5-second time window may not be enough to undo and restore a deleted message, WhatsApp may increase this time limit in the future. Also, the possibility of canceling the message, which could only be used up to 7 minutes after sending, has been increased to 60 hours since August this year.
The ability to restore deleted messages is currently available for users of stable versions of Android, iOS and desktop. This is the third major change of the WhatsApp platform this month. At the beginning of December, the ability to set and personalize the avatar was added to this messenger for the first time.
Also, following that, some other features such as improved voice and video calls, the ability to support up to 32 people in a group video call, and the ability to ignore callers were also provided for this popular messenger.
