The advance of “Wagner” continues in the strategic city of Bakhmut, Ukraine

According to the report of the Fars International News Agency, Russian media reported that the soldiers of the Wagner group have entered a new area in this strategic part of Ukraine during the clashes to control the city of Bakhmut.

Media sources such as Rasha Todi reported that “Wagner” group units have entered another area in the southwest of the strategic city of Bakhmut located in eastern Ukraine.

According to these reports, Wagner’s military group affiliated with the Russian army continues to move in the Bakhmut axis and is advancing towards Mariupol.

In its moment-by-moment report on the war in Ukraine, CNN’s Sheke wrote: “As the battle for control of the Donetsk region intensifies, the Russian private military group Wagner claims it has captured the small village of Krasna Hora, north of the city of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine.” .

The release of news about the field situation of the Russian-Ukrainian military conflicts, especially in Bakhmut, is carried out in a situation where the fierce battle for the control of this strategic city has been going on for months.

Last month, Russian military forces were able to control the city of “Solidar” located near Bakhmut.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner group, announced on Sunday (yesterday) in a statement that the group’s forces were able to control Krasna Hora, a few kilometers from Bakhmut.

On the other hand, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday (today) that Wagner’s volunteer forces were able to liberate Krasna Hora in Donetsk with rocket and artillery support.

Wagner’s military group has played an important role in Russia’s recent victories in Ukraine. The United States has recently classified this group in the list of “criminal groups”. John Kirby, the coordinator of strategic affairs at the White House Security Council, said, “Introducing the Wagner group as an international criminal organization allows us to punish this group and those who cooperate with it.”

As Russia continues to advance on the ground in eastern Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky and other officials are pressing the West to send more and more advanced weapons, including fighter jets.

During his recent trip to England, Germany and France, Volodymyr Zelenskiy demanded to send more weapons to Ukraine, and he gave a speech about this in Strasbourg, the headquarters of the European Parliament.

On February 24, 2022 (5th of Isfand 1400), Russia started a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of de-Nazifying and demilitarizing the country, which has continued for months with Western intervention and aid.
